After months and months of visiting local electronic stores, I finally gave up. I wanted a voice recorder that did not look like a voice recorder. We have a house sitter who I suspect rummages around in my room while I am away. Finally a friend told me to search the internet. I found what I was looking for in no time at all. I bought what looked like a ball point pen but was actually a voice activated recorders.  I set it on the night stand and changed the settings to voice activation mode. This is crucial to save the battery life. Sometimes I am gone 3-4 days at a time. The unit stays “asleep” until it detects sound. It can even pick up the slightest noise at 20 feet away. It’s such a cool device I just had to share.
