Nikon D90 Face Priority

What does the average photographer, whether amateur or professional, usually shoot the most? Sure, the occasional still life or nature shot is nice, but candid shots of people fill most photographers’ repertoires - even many professionals (…ever heard the term, “paparazzi”?). That’s why the “Face Priority” feature of the Nikon D90 is so great. You want the faces of the people you’re shooting to be sharp and in focus. The background is less important unless, for instance, you’re on vacation and your subject is standing in front of, say, the White House. More or less, though, it’s the faces you’ll want emphasized more than anything else in the photo.
