Chase Carey Makes a Ton of Money
Chase Carey is the CEO of DirecTV. He has been in the position for around five years, and by most accounts has done a great job. While DirecTV has added millions of subscribers over the past few years, its chief rival Dish Network has floundered a bit. Charlie Ergen is the CEO of Dish Network, and basically founded the company. He is worth billions of dollars. Chase Carey makes a nice living at it too though, in 2007 he make more than $25 million when you add up base salary, incentives, and most importantly, stock options. All in all, both of these guys are rolling in the dough due to America’s love for television.
