The Right Stuff
My son is just entering the teenage years. I am trying hard to go back in time and remember how he feels at this point in his life, dealing with peer pressure and the need to “fit in.” I know that I can’t dismiss his concerns as something he’ll “grow out of,” even though he probably will. For now in his life, wearing the “right” clothes and shoes is extremely important. I’m going along with it; after all, he needs to wear something, so it might as well be something he likes. I bought his new skate shoes the other day, and he’s beyond thrilled. I hope it helps him hold his head high so he can learn what’s really important in life!
