I work at the local Jared Galleria of Jewels servicing South Florida.  I have always wanted to work in a jewelry store ever since I was a little girl.  I’ve always been fascinated by diamonds and jewelry.  I used to love watching my mother get dressed for an event - especially watching her put on her diamond jewelry.  So it seemed natural when I graduated college with a psychology degree to go ahead and take a GIA gemology course.  After I became a graduate gemologist, it was really simple finding work at Jared.  People ask me all the time at the store, what does an SI2 diamond clarity look like.  I’ll usually just take a sample SI2 out of the case and show them the sample diamond so they can see for themselves!
