Ok, so don’t laugh! You’re probably thinking…radio controlled boats..how competitive can that be? It’s not NASSCAR for sure, so where is the competition?First of all, let me tell you that the competitive spirit comes from within. No matter what the ’stage’ …you are the one that brings the ‘competition’ to it! Your stage could be in cooking, baseball, quilting…it doesn’t really matter. The point is that the desire to excel drives most of us to be the ‘best we can be’.So, when it comes to your radio controlled boats hobby…you have to ask yourself this question…”Is this just for fun…Or do I want to be the best” (or at least beat ‘Joey’). I think that inner drive to beat the other guy always comes out..whether by choice, or some inner drive that we can’t ignore!Give it all you’ve got…then you don’t have to worry about the ‘what ifs’. It’s not always about having the best or newest boat either…your skills will make up for some of the newest ‘features’. You are in control…if you want to be!!
