All our city friends laughed at us when we began making plans to build a log cabin.  And my mother was very concerned that we would have all our Cabin Furniture built out of split rail fence logs.  Instead, when the house was completed and she came out ot celebrate with us, she loved the decor.  My husband and I had scoured the area and during our travels for unusual and appropriate pieces.  Many of the pieces were made of rustic wood and accented with covered with copper panels and tops, and rustic iron.  We had special pieces that were rustic or country style painted furniture.  Copper lighting tied the whole look together and made it cozy with a touch of elegance
