Work, Health Insurance, and Chronic Illness

People who have to daily manage chronic illnesses face a Catch-22 when it comes to their work and health insurance. Some people’s conditions make it optimal or downright mandatory that they work from home. Yet, at the same time, many of these people must push themselves to work away from home because they can’t afford Self Employment Health Insurance. It is unfair that people with chronic illnesses should be refused health insurance of any kind because of their risk. Nobody asks to become chronically ill and any health condition is a burden enough on its own. Fortunately, there are non-profit organizations that can advise chronically ill people on finding insurance and getting companies to pay for claims.
