We Did Not Have A Science Fair

When I was in school science was confined to the class room.   Any experiments were carefully controlled by the teacher doing them in the front of the room.  I was a senior before I was finally able to take a chemistry class where we got to do hands on projects.  There were no science fairs and no winning science fair projects for us.   It the teacher could not or would not do it in the front of the room it did not get done.  I am so thrilled today to walk through the room filled with science fair projects and think about all the children doing the research on their own.

The speech I was chosen to give for my Aunt

On Tuesday my aunt Veronica was run over by a car when she was retrieving mail from her mailbox. I was relieved to find out that she was killed instantly and she didn’t feel any lingering pain. Most of the pain was felt by her immediate family. She left behind a husband and two daughters. The funeral is set for this coming Sunday and I of all people was chosen to give a eulogy speech. I have never done such a thing and needed to find a little guidance. I asked her pastor about some of the things I should talk about. He gave good advice.

Angels fly in Ships

The Angels today, as we see in the Biblical record, visit the earth. What is a commonly held belief is that they transport themselves by flapping their wings. But we learn in the ancient scripture that angels actually fly in ships. (Look at I Chronicles 28:18)

Here it is noted that King David is giving a charge to his son Solomon in that he, Solomon, was required to make a copy or model of the chariots of the Cherubim.

Chariots were a designated word that referred to a means of conveyance.  Cars in the Old Testament vernacular would have been called a chariot as would an airplane.  The point is that angels fly in ships.

This is not the only scripture that points to this view.  We also know that Elijah was taken off the earth into a fiery chariot, and Enoch of old who was the architect of the Great Pyramid was taken “and he was not.”  Most likely he also was taken in a fiery chariot the same as Elijah.

The star that was seen over Bethlehem denoting and heralding the birth of Christ was most likely a ship as it moved across the sky. The wise men would have had no name for a UFO, so a punctuated and moving light crossing the sky they explained as a star.

The mechanical problem my car developed

On Thursday my car started making a strange noise underneath the hood. It was a loud noise combined with kind of a shaking of the whole car. Because of this I took my car to my mechanic to find out what the problem was. After he looked around under the hood my mechanic told me that I had a broken motor mount. He said he would have to check his phone book online and call around for some parts because he didn’t have my motor mount on hand. He then told me how much it would be and how long it would take.

How to Learn Hiragana and Katakana

The Japanese writing system uses two phonetic syllabaris, together called kana. It is quite easy to learn hiragana and katakana. Their number is small compared to the huge number of Chinese characters making it a realistic task to learn hiragana and katakana in few days.

For foreign travellers in Japan, it is recommended to master at least these simple parts of the Japanese writing system. Outside the big cities, there are many signs that are not written in roman letters. Being able to read the kana alphabet can help a lot. An normal student of the Japanese language will usually need 4 to5 days to learn hiragana and katakana. This should be the first step when starting to learn Japanese.

I Come Prepared

I practically live out of my car. Between school, work, going to the gym, and an active social life, I am not home much. So I keep everything in my car that I might need. I have my laptop and schoolbooks, so that I am always ready for class. I have a gym bag with my work clothes, and another gym bag with my exercise clothes. I have a cosmetics bag full of bathroom stuff – deodorant, toothbrush, clean underwear, etc. I also keep little things that come in handy, like a phone book directory, a camera, gum, CD’s, things like that. I’m always prepared, just in case I can’t get home between activities.

Start Small and Think Big Your Guide To Goal Setting Your Way To Wealth

Goal setting is one of the most misunderstood forms of wealth building. Why? A lot of people don’t understand how goal setting works. They believe you set a large goal like I am going to make $1000 more per week. Then they try to make that goal within a short period of time like within a few months. Now that would be a great process if that could happen that fast but as many people find out making a goal that high or that quick is nearly impossible. So what do you do.The Secret to goal setting is to start small and think big. How you reach your large goal of making $1000 more per week is by starting with smaller goals maybe earning $25 more per week. When you achieve your goals, then you go higher say $50 a week. You build on the small goals and build up to your large goals. Goal setting is step by step process that should be slow and steady not quick and restless. You don’t want to push yourself to quickly or set your little goals to high to soon because most people will get discouraged and give up. However if you start small and think big then over time you will reach your goal. It may take you more time then a few weeks or even a few months but every little step you reach takes you one step closer top your large goal of changing your life for the better.
