I May be Able to Get a Lower Rate

I have lived in my house for two years, and the introductory interest rate on my mortgage has expired. I think I may be able to get a lower rate if I remortgage. I talked to another mortgage company yesterday, and they told me that I will need to get a conveyancing solicitor to perform a survey for me. That seems kind of silly, because I had that done when I bought the house two years ago. But they said they just want to be sure that nothing has changed. I guess it’s not a big deal. I still have the number of the old company I used.

Fathers Can Be Good Single Parents Too

I was recently divorced when my wife met someone else and decided that she did not want to be a wife and mother any more.  This left me with our five year old son and the fact that I must raise him as a single parent.  I called my pastor and we had a long conversation about the fact that there are many single parents and the single parenting statistics show that even though more are mothers, the fathers can make a good home for their children.  He told me that anytime I needed some help to be sure to call and they even have a day care program for my son.

Indoor Table Tops for our Sub Shop will make Things Complete

My husbands dream has always been to open up a sub shop and when he was laid off last year, we thought it would be the perfect time.  Finding the right place in the right area was the hardest and we spent months getting that place into shape and when it was finally ready to put things in it we went to the Hospitality furniture catalog.  We knew that we would be able to find the right indoor and outdoor table tops to go with the décor in the shop and when we did, I got even more excited.  We knew that this was a great idea and with all the support around us, how could we fail.

What Can the Cuisinart CSB-76 Hand Blender Do?

I am trying to figure out what to get my friend for her wedding present. She has the Cuisinart CSB-76 Hand Blender on her list, but I want to make sure to get her something that she will really use a lot. What exactly can this blender do? Of course I left things a bit last minute and there isn’t a lot on her registry, but this is within my budget and it looks like it might be one of the more useful items that no one has bought yet. I know she wants it since she included it, so I suppose I should just get it.

The Tale of the Stolen Toaster

I couldn’t find my toaster this morning. Usually I leave it on my kitchen counter, but it wasn’t there when I wanted to use it. I guess someone stole it in the night while I was asleep. Next time, I’ll make sure to keep the kitchen window closed before I go to bed. I asked some of my friends what they thought is the best toaster to buy. I don’t want a toaster that will burn my bread even on the lightest toast setting, that’s for sure! I’m willing to spend on something that will last me a long time; I don’t want to waste time and money replacing a cheap and flimsy appliance.

Keeping A Clean Kitchen

A kitchen is a place that can hide a lot of bacteria, germs, dirt and crud.  It is essential to keep a clean kitchen because that is where food is handled, and you don’t want the bad things to get into your food.  So it is important to clean the counter tops where the food is handled.  Also be sure to periodically clean the inside of your stove, and the inside of your microwave.  You may also see food remnants on your walls from time to time, and to keep your kitchen looking nice, you should really scrub those down.  And perhaps most important, make sure that you are always washing your dishes well.  If you use a dishwasher, check the dishes before you put them back to make sure that all the food remnants are gone.

Tub for Relaxing

I recently decided to to purchase a smaller bathtub. After many days of research, I decided to buy a square bathtub. I wanted to buy a square tub because square tubs are deeper, which allows you to soak in water up to your neck. I have a very stressful job so my need to relax at night is high on my priority list. I found a really great place that sells small square bathtubs. I made the purchase of the tub and had it installed within a few days. I just used my bathtub for the first time and it is amazing! I couldn’t have bought a better tub to have.

My dog loves to be brushed

My little Maltese dog loves to be brushed as long as she gets a treat and a very tiny squeaky toy out of it. The idea of sitting long enough to be brushed is fine as long as she can see the prize she will get. I just got a furminator deshedding tool to help speed the process along for, so as not to keep her from her toys. Too much time away from them makes her a little on the cranky side and then she has to have a few kernels of popcorn too. She is not spoiled at all.

How Expensive Are Antique Clawfoot Bathtubs?

We have an older home that still has a lot of the original fixtures and features. We would like to redo the bathroom, but I would like to keep it looking like it fit in with the rest of the house. I was thinking it would be nice to get one of those antique clawfoot bathtubs to replace the tub that is in bad shape that is currently there. Can anyone tell me how much these cost and where I might be able to get one, or at least something that looks like an antique tub? It would really help me out.
