Cheaper Auto Insurance — Because You Will Definitely NOT Drive As Frequently Once You Are Retired

Retirees are given a special discount by a good number of insurers making it a lot easier for them to enjoy cheaper auto insurance. The obvious logic for this discount is that retired persons generally drive less. A driver’s total mileage is a big issue which influences what is paid in premiums. So any event that brings down your annual mileage by a big margin must reduce your rate.

Don’t forget that you are eligible for this discount if you’re a retiree. Do learn more about eligibility requirements from your insurance agent. And, if your he/she tells you they do NOT offer this very discount, do your utmost to report the dramatic adjustment in your mileage. Unless the drop in your mileage isn’t considerable, you should switch to another insurance carrier if you don’t get a discount.
