Google maps have some really cool Free Satellite Maps that you can access any time you want to on line. You can drill down on these maps to take a peek at certain countries or states or even towns. A lot of times they offer a map view as well as the satellite view and you can easily toggle between the two options. Just play around with the different settings on the upper right hand side of the screen so you can see the different options and see what bests suits your needs.
