They Used A BMI Calculator At The Gym

I just started dieting and working out. On my first trip to the gym, they weighed me and calculated my BMI. They used a BMI calculator to see how much of my weight was from fat. I am five feet and six inches tall. I weigh around 160pounds. My total BMI was 25.8%. That number was not too bad, as I am just a little over into the overweight section of the BMI chart. I hope that I can start losing some of this weight now that I am working out more. The monthly weigh in and BMI Calculation with help to motivate me.

Remote Control Like You’ve Never Seen It

Have you heard of GSM Remote control?  If you haven’t yet, you’re sure to.  This small circuit board allows a cell phone to call it and turn on or off devices.  That sounds simple, but the variety of possible tasks is not.  Applications include turning on or off devices.  That sounds simple, but the variety of possible tasks is not.  Applications include turning on or off devices that are hard to reach (like deep sea drilling platforms) to the irrigation system in the middle of the field, to checking on the refrigeration unit parked 4 states away.  Or, you can start your car to warm it up on a cold winder day or have one machine call in and report temperatures, or have a machine call in to alert certain parameters.  Keep your eyes open for innovations being created daily; all using this new technology.

Building a Hydroponic Garden

Growing up, my parents always had a garden that they enjoyed and tended to consistently. We always had some sort of fresh produce. Now that I live in Arizona, I cannot grow a traditional garden like my parents did. Instead, I have had to find alternative ways to grow a garden. I started thinking about using a method called hydroponics in order to grow the vegetables that I wanted. I actually built a small garden on my back porch. The plants don’t live in soil, instead they live in a nutrient solution. It works out well for me, and the vegetables taste great.

Coffee Mugs

When you are getting up in the morning and you feel like a horse just stomped in your head and have the energy of a dirty slug, you might want to have your first morning of coffee and when that is about to take place than you must make sure that the coffee mugs that you use are the very best. When you use a store bought, machine made piece of junk, your coffee just doesn’t taste as good and you won’t get that warm fuzzy feeling that you get with a perfect mug that is your very own. Don’t buy machine made junk.

Mp3 Audio Book: A Safer Option?

One can now acquire knowledge without necessarily having the ability to read and write — thanks to the audio book industry. Apart from just acquiring knowledge, audio books help to make fun and entertainment literature much easier to digest than is the case of reading hardcover novels.

Who would blame those that ALWAYS settle for audio books instead of traditional books– especially because of the ease of “listening” rather than “reading”? It is now very difficult to find popular book titles that do not have both the physical book format and the audio book format. It is not difficult to understand that one can save lots of time if “listening” to a book while driving to and fro work each day than to dedicate blocks of time reading that same book in physical book format. My next post will be about, mp3 audio book.

Dehumidifier – Gift For My Sister

I would like to stand against the rampant materialism that exists in our society today. For instance, giving a gift is about conferring something that the receiver will treasure and appreciate, hopefully for a long time. Wonderful gift will leave mark in our memory; the receiver will appreciate your well chosen gift if you have put some thought into picking the gift. Anyway, after thinking hard for what to buy for my sister, I think I would like to buy the best dehumidifier for her since I heard her complained about the heat and moisture in her home during this Summer.

If you ever hope to get back with your ex girlfriend

If you ever hope to get back with your ex girlfriend, there are a few things to remember. Though it may be difficult, it’s important not to antagonize the person your ex may be seeing. There is nothing less attractive than that green-eyed monster called jealousy. Jealousy is a way of trying to control another person and if you are openly jealous you will lose the battle before it even begins. When you hear that your ex is dating someone else, make no derogatory comments. If you do, you will come across as jealous and insecure, as well as critical and judgmental. In fact, it’s probably best to back off a little bit, while letting your ex know that you still care, but not smothering him/her with unwanted attention. Sometimes if you want something badly enough you have to let it go. In time perhaps your ex will see that you were the right person after all.

Sony coming out with digital products

Sony is said to be coming out with their own HD sound recording device. Sony at the music event has previewed a new audio recorder intended to bridge the gap between high-end pro and mainstream capturing gear says R4i SDHC. The PCM-M10 is the company’s lowest-cost recorder to use flash for storage but to still record at a high 96kHz, 24-bit sample rate for its audio, that is pretty impressive. It’s also the first to use a format other than an in-house Sony format for removable cards and takes microSD in addition to Memory Stick Micro, both of which help reduce the overall size of the recorder itself.
